Abstract

The issue of organizational constraints especially resource limitation and the effects at the micro and macro level of the Nigerian economy attracting researchers. The paper examined various literature and empirical as well as theoretical studies on resource constraints in the domain of management accounting and the effects the economy from the literature reviewed, it was discovered that a relationship exists between growth, profitability and business resources through scarce but can be efficiently managed through managerial acumen (endogenous growth and profitability factor). However, in Nigeria, the absence of other factors such as the right infrastructure and security (exogenous growth and profitability factors) has compounded the growth and profitability of businesses in the country. The study recommends among others that entrepreneurs should invest more in resource procurement with increased local content and the government should do more in creating a secured and friendly environment for businesses to thrive.
