STRATEGIES FOR PROMOTING ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS ACQUISITION AMONG FEMALE BUSINESS EDUCATION STUDENTS FOR EMPOWERMENT IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN SOUTH EAST NIGERIA

This research work dwelt on strategies for promoting entrepreneurial skills acquisition among female business education students for empowerment in tertiary institutions in South East Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The population for the study comprised of 75 Business Educators in tertiary institutions offering Business Education. The entire population was used hence, no sampling was done. Two research questions and two null hypotheses guided the study. Self-structured questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. The instrument was subjected to reliability text and a co-efficient of 0.87 was obtained using Cronbach Alpha. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while t-test was used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings indicated that Business Educators agreed with all the items enumerated as government-related and lecturers-related strategies for promoting entrepreneurial skills acquisition among female business education students for empowerment intertiary institutions. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others that business educators in tertiary institutions should device ways to ensure that students are provided with data and materials necessary for entrepreneurial skills acquisition.Downloads
